Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) was established in the year 1980 by Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES). Today, it is a premier institute, offering BE Courses in Branches (Civil, ECE, CSE, IT, EEE & Mechanical) and 5 ME Courses (CAD/CAM, Structural Engg., Embedded Systems and VLSI design, Computer Science) of two years duration. MJCET has 5 Research Centers and 62 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D from the campus presently. The college is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and approved by AICTE. It was accredited by NBA in 2002 for five years and Re-accreditation of NBA is in process. It has been ranked with A+ grade by NAAC. MJCET has been ranked in the 150-200 band by NIRF in the innovation category and is considered among the top 40 private engineering colleges of the country and among the Top 5 Engg. colleges in Hyderabad. More than 40% of the faculty hold a Ph.D and equipped with the latest infrastructure. The college is located in the heart of Hyderabad city at Banjara Hills and enjoys a central location.
The ECE Department provides a holistic environment for the overall development of the student. The courses offered include, B.E(ECE), M.E(Embedded Systems and VLSI design) and has research Center recognised by Osmania University in which 4 scholars received their doctorate and 6 researchers are pursuing Ph.D. Osmania University allots scholars to the research centre to pursue their Ph.D.
ECE Department is equipped with state of art equipment, avant-garde, voluble and seasoned faculty with abound experience. The department has 11 active IEEE chapters and other student clubs.
The local language communication in India is vital for effective developmental action. According to Census of India, 122 major languages and 1599 other languages out of which 30 languages are spoken by over a million native speakers in different parts of India. Disseminating knowledge and strengthening the learning process through the medium of regional languages thus becomes a necessity to achieve the Viksit Bharat 2047dream.
