In the year 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions. As per this mandate, MJCET established the MJCET Institution’s Innovation Council (MJCET-IIC) (IC201810968) in the same academic year 2018-19 and obtained a certificate of establishment dated 14-12-2018.
The IIC at MJCET actively engages students and faculty through various innovation-centric initiatives such as idea generation workshops, hackathons, start-up mentoring sessions, and interactions with industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs. The council aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical implementation, encouraging students to think creatively and solve real-world problems.
Through collaboration, awareness programs, and capacity-building activities, the IIC serves as a Launchpad for innovative minds at MJCET to transform their ideas into impactful solutions. To further this holistic goal of empowering students with entrepreneurial skills and create eco-system for innovation to thrive, the Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES) has established an Incubation Centre “SU Knowledge Hub Foundation” to incubate innovative business ideas and promote entrepreneurship acumen in students.
