The four year B.E. program of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was introduced in 2002 and to provide diversity and industrial orientation in the field of Electrical Engineering the M.E. course in Power Electronic Systems was introduced in the year 2013.
The four year B.E. program in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering was introduced in the year 1997 and is under progressive closure from the year 2021.
The Department has 16 faculty members who are well qualified, highly experienced and actively involved in research activities. The department has 6 Doctorates and 12 faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D. Apart from regular academic activities. The Department faculty is involved in various professional activities like publishing their research findings in prestigious conferences and journals, delivering expert lectures at various conferences and important seminars, chairing technical sessions at conferences and reviewing papers for reputed journals.
The laboratories in the department have the state-of-the-art equipment. The department also has computer labs for the laboratory courses like Micro Processors and Micro Controllers, Digital Signal Processing, Computer Simulation studies and also for the use of students in their project work and seminars.
To produce proficient engineers who illuminate the nation, drive the industry and innovate in the field of power and automation.
Dr. Mohammad Haseeb Khan received his B.Tech (EEE) from Kakatiya University in the year 1999, M.Tech (Power Electronics) and Ph.D.(EEE) in the years 2003 and 2012 respectively from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He has more than 23 years of teaching experience and has published about 25 papers in national & international conferences and journals. He has two patents two his credit. His research areas include Power Electronics and its applications, Electric drives, intelligent systems, power quality. Four scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under his guidance from Osmania University.
