The main objective of the Department is to impart the knowledge of the latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning.
This programme is designed to make graduates aware of emerging technologies and novel ideas for designing and building the Intelligent software and ormulate systematic solutions to concrete problems in the field of Data Analytics, obotics, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Cybersecurity.
Students graduating in this programme assuredly get bright opportunities in different work sectors involving applications of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data, AI and Robotics.
Job roles for the students graduating from this programme span are Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Database Administrator, Statistician, Business Intelligence Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, ML Architect, Software Developer/Engineer.
The Department has 20 well experienced and qualified faculty members. Among them there are 2 Doctorates and 4 are pursuing their Doctorate degrees.
The department has three laboratories (Artificial Intelligence Lab, Programming Lab, DBMS Lab, etc) along with “Khan Lateef Mohammed Khan (Centre for Advanced Computing & Informatics)” Lab with a 66 seater capacity and 66 Latest All in One Computer Systems for the need of B.E-(AI&DS) students. The computer centre infrastructure consists of 3 IBM servers, various licensed software like Microsoft Products under Campus and School Agreement (CASA), Rational Enterprise Suite (RES), Rational Software Architect (RSA), Macro Media Studio, Linux, COGNOS, WEKA Tool, MATLAB, C/C++/Java IDE, etc along with 65 network components (LAN/WAN) and also Internet access is provided through a 500 Mbps leased line from Pioneer powers.
Facilities like Digital library with access to online IEEE journals, online database viz., MCGRAW HILL, SCIENCE DIRECT, KNIMBUS, SPRINGERLINK, printed magazines (Digit, Chip) and journals, NPTEL lectures, etc are also provided.

Dr. Uma N. Dulhare presently serves as the Head and Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. With over two decades of teaching experience, she has six international, one international copyright, two national patents, more than 40 research papers in esteemed national and international journals, as well as book chapters. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Soft Computing. She has served as a technical committee member for more than 30 national and international conferences. She is an experienced academic leader with extensive expertise in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. As the Head of the Department, she oversees the strategic planning, academic programs, and research initiatives. With a commitment to excellence in education and research, Dr. Uma Dulhare fosters a collaborative environment for students and faculty to thrive.
Her leadership emphasizes innovation, interdisciplinary research, and skill development, preparing students for the challenges faced by the modern world. She supervises PhD scholars in the capacities of Guide and Co-Guide. She has also served as the editor of various technical books in emerging fields with renowned publications. Her professional affiliations span over several societies that include IEEE SMC, IEEE GRSS, European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and she is a lifetime fellow of the International Society of Research and Development (ISRD), UK, a fellow of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), USA, a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and a member of Hong Kong Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), USA.Throughout her career, Dr. Uma Dulhare has been a pride recipient of prestigious recognitions and awards for her professional services.
