Established in the year 1980 under Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society (SUES), Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology is a Minority Educational Institution affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and four UG programs Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by NBA for a period of 3 years from 2024-25 to 2026-27 up to 30-6-2027 and accredited by the NAAC with Grade A+ in the year 2024 and the Institution of Engineers, India. Located at Banjara Hills and spread over a sprawling 25 acre of land, the college with its serene and picturesque natural landscape is an ideal destination in all aspects to create innovative engineers to face the cut-throat competitions in the global technological scenario. 3-day AI Bootcamp: Hands-on Learning for Future Engineers
CS&AI Department of MJCET successfully conducted a three-day AI Bootcamp, titled “Hands-On Learning for Future Engineers,” from March 17 to 19, 2025. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students across multiple engineering disciplines. Mr. Uma Desu, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at GenAIPioneer, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, he emphasized the growing impact of Generative AI (GenAI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Neural Networks, and t-SNE models in AI-driven industries. He also discussed the rapid advancements in quantum computing and predicted that 2026 would mark a significant milestone in the global recognition of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Applauding MJCET’s initiative, he commended the institution for being the first in South India to organize such an event for first-year B.E. students, setting a benchmark for others to follow.

IFDP on Generative AI 2025
A week-long International Faculty Development Program (IFDP) on “Generative AI: Innovation and Application for Social Impact” was held from 6-10 January 2025 at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET). Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in collaboration with Shodhguru International and Pantech Learning, the program aimed to explore the transformative potential of Generative AI. The program featured various sessions aimed at enhancing knowledge and fostering innovation in Generative AI.

National Science Day Celebrations 2025
MJCET commemorated National Science Day 2025 with a special guest lecture on "Material Sensing Using Raman Spectroscopy." The session was conducted by Dr. Sriram Gopal Naraharisetty from the Department of Physics, University of Hyderabad, at the Seminar Hall, Block 4. The event successfully fostered a spirit of scientific inquiry, aligning with the objective of National Science Day—to encourage and celebrate scientific achievements and innovation.

ATAL Online 6-Days Faculty Development Program
FDP aims to offer theoretical and hands - on exposure to Artificial Intelligence in Data Science Applications. It is an intensive training program designed to enhance faculty member’s and industry professional’s knowledge and skills in AI and Data Science. This 6-days program combines demonstrations lectures, and hands-on sessions to cover fundamentals of AI, Machine learning, Deep Learning, Data Visualization, Generative AI (LLM) in Data Science applications. Participants will learn popular AI libraries and frameworks, design and implement data science projects, and develop predictive models and data visualization. The program aims to equip faculty with expertise to teach AI and data science courses effectively, conduct research, and collaborate with industry partners. This FDP fosters industry-academia collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking among participants from diverse disciplines.

Building on their previous success at the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, where MJCET students clinched top honors, this year's hackathon aims to push the boundaries of creativity and technological innovation. Organized by the Computer Science and Engineering Department in collaboration with CSI-MJCET and E-Cell MJCET, the hackathon offers a vibrant platform for students to showcase their technical prowess. With the competition in full swing, participants have worked tirelessly to present groundbreaking solutions.

Smart India Hackathon (SIH) - 2024
Six teams from MJCET proudly represented Telangana at the prestigious Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, a national-level innovation competition conducted on December 11-12, 2024. Out of 50 teams selected from across the state, MJCET contributed the highest number of teams, with two emerging as winners, each securing a cash prize of ₹1 lakh in the Software Edition category. The first winning team competed at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati. The second team triumphed at KCG Tech Chennai. Hon. Secretary of SUES, Mr. Zafar Javeed, congratulated the winners and praised all six participating teams from MJCET for their outstanding performance. In recognition of their efforts, Mr. Javeed announced a cash reward of ₹10,000 for each participant from all six teams and assured continued support for students engaging in such competitions.

Innovatia Panoply 2024
Computer Science & Engineering Department hosted a project exhibition on 27th July 2024 showcasing a variety of innovative projects undertaken by students, alongside the Annual Day celebrations. The event featured creative projects demonstrating the students’ technical proficiency and inventiveness. The project exhibition featured 80 projects, including cloud-based and AI-powered chatbots, IoT-based solutions, and marketing and management projects. Students demonstrated their ideas, explaining the technical aspects and potential applications to judges from both industry and academia. The best projects were awarded cash prizes, and academic awards were given to the top-performing students. The well-attended event saw the participation of 650 professionals, teachers, and students.

AICTE VAANI 2024
A three-day workshop titled “Next Gen Communications” was organized by department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology between 18/07/2024 to 20/07/2024.This was approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This Workshop marks a landmark three-day event dedicated to exploring the frontiers of next-generation communication technologies. The inaugural was held on 18/07/2024 which was graced by Janab Mohammed Ibrahim Ali Siddiqui, Member, Board of Governors, Dr. Anupama Koneru, Principal, SUCP, Dr. Lakshmi Rawat, Director, AAKCBA. The medium of delivery of sessions was in Urdu.
